Canada is hated because of their socialist and hubristic tendencies. Their loyalty to the Crown during the American Revolution garnered no sympathy in the States.
That being said, Montreal kicks ass because you don't tip the strippers, you can drink at 18, and it's the best place to buy Cuban cigars this side of the embargo.
